Caroline Ferrara (b. 1997) is a singer, songwriter and composer.

Her music was once described as sounding “like a wistful sigh in a Parisian alley at night.” Vivid, poetic lyrics blend with subtle echoes of French chanson, jazz and pop, creating an intimate, cinematic atmosphere.

She studied jazz vocals at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) and the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff, graduating with distinction with a Master’s degree in Jazz Vocals in 2022. That same year, she was selected as one of six artists for the European development programme SOFIA – Support of Female Improvising Artists.

Following her studies, artistic residencies and extended stays took her to London, Wales and Paris, where she deepened her engagement with jazz and French chanson while further developing her unique artistic style.

In 2025, she released her EP Love Is a Lily – a song cycle exploring the symbolism of flowers as images of transience, inner blossoming and subtle perception.

In spring 2026, she produced and created the concert programme Dis, quand reviendras-tu ? – an homage to the French singer and chansonnière Barbara.

Caroline Ferrara is based in Zurich, and performs in Switzerland and internationally.
