Caroline Ferrara (b. 1997) discovered her love for writing and music early in life. At just 13, she landed her first job as a freelance journalist at a local newspaper, a testament to her innate curiosity and creative drive. Around the same time, her piano teacher recognized that her passion extended beyond classical repertoire and showed her how to play chords so she could accompany herself—unlocking a world where she could perform, play, and write her own songs freely, and, most importantly: sing.

Initially considering a degree in French, she instead followed her artistic instincts, earning an MA in Jazz Vocals at Zürcher Hochschule der Künste with distinction. Her studies also took her to the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama before she eventually settled in Paris for a time, immersing herself in its rich musical and literary culture.

Caroline’s career has been marked by notable milestones, including securing a place in the prestigious SOFIA (Support of Female Improvising Artists) program in 2022, composing and performing a commissioned piece for Kunsthaus Zürich in April 2024, and performing at the Swiss Embassy in Paris in 2023. She has performed across Switzerland, France, and the UK, steadily building a reputation as a captivating artist and evocative songwriter.

Her music is shaped by her jazz education, a deep appreciation for lyrics, and an enduring love for French chanson. Critics have described her work as “a long poetic sigh” and “a melancholic shadow lingering in a Parisian street at 4 AM.” With a steady stream of original releases, Caroline is set to share her highly anticipated debut EP in the second half of 2025. In parallel, she is crafting her first poetry collection, an artistic continuation to the themes explored in her songs.
